A heater for the Polaris Ranger XP1000 / 1000 / Crew, 2018–2026 — dual fan

This Ice Crusher dual-fan heater kit is built specifically for the Polaris Ranger XP1000, Ranger 1000 and Crew — not a universal heater adapted to fit. It gives you the same 8-vent layout as the Polaris OEM heater kit for a fraction of the price, and the dual fans keep strong airflow at every vent: 18,000 BTU and 320 CFM, including dedicated windshield defrost. The heater unit mounts against the firewall behind the center dash. Because it runs on engine coolant, it makes real heat without draining your battery; the dual fans draw just 2–3 amps.

Prefer the 6-vent single-fan kit? See the 14,600 BTU Ranger kit.

Options

Seat rows: Pick one or two rows of seats so we pack the right length of coolant hose. The price doesn’t change.

In-cab heat control (+$49.99): A control at the dash that sets how much coolant flows through the heater core. Turn the heat up, down or off for summer without reaching under the hood for the shut-off valve.

Optional in-cab heat control: dash control and cable-operated heater valve

Rear heater kit (+$299.99): A second heater for the back seat on the Ranger XP 1000 Crew. It needs this front kit to run.

Optional rear heater installed under the back seat of a Polaris Ranger XP 1000 Crew

Hose clamp tools (+$24.99): A pair of clamp-off pliers that seal hoses up to 2 inches, so the coolant tie-in stays clean. Handy on radiator hoses too.

Optional hose clamp tools: a pair of clamp-off pliers for the coolant tie-in on a UTV cab heater install

Questions we hear

Will it drain my battery?

No. The heat comes from your engine’s coolant, not the battery. The dual fans draw just 2–3 amps of 12-volt power, similar to an OEM blower.

Single fan or dual fan?

Both kits fit the same Rangers. The dual-fan kit moves 320 CFM through 8 vents for 18,000 BTU; the single-fan kit moves 180 CFM through 6 vents for 14,600 BTU. If you run a Crew or ride in deep cold, the dual fan is the one.

Can I turn the heat off for summer?

Yes. The kit includes an under-hood shut-off valve. Add the in-cab heat control and you can turn the heat up, down or off from your seat.

How long does the install take?

Plan on 4–8 hours depending on experience. Experienced do-it-yourselfers land at the low end; first-timers should set aside a full day and follow the picture-rich instructions step by step.

Do I need the hose clamp tools?

You can install without them, but they make the coolant tie-in faster and cleaner. They pinch the hoses shut so coolant doesn’t pour out, and less air gets into the system, which makes bleeding the air out much easier. Sold as a pair; they fit hoses up to 2 inches.

Why buy an Ice Crusher heater

We’re not the cheapest UTV heater. We’re the one designed, supported and shipped by the people who answer the phone. Every kit is built for a specific machine, comes complete, and is backed by real people who know it inside and out. And we keep improving our kits, even when it means retiring our own older designs.

Warranty, support and shipping
