Ice Crusher builds five Yamaha-specific heater kits covering the Wolverine RMAX, the RMAX4 1000 Compact, the 2016–2018 Wolverine, the Viking and the Rhino, from 2006 to the current model year. The RMAX kits include a custom thermostat bypass housing that sits behind the factory thermostat for faster, more consistent heat. Every kit runs on engine coolant, so there is no battery drain beyond the fan.

Wolverine RMAX: the single-fan kit fits the 2020–2025 Wolverine RMAX and mounts under the driver seat. The dual-fan kit — 18,000 BTU and 320 CFM — is built for the RMAX4 1000 Compact only. It does not fit the full-length RMAX4 1000: check the rear footwell, and if the side walls are tall you have the Compact. Both kits include the thermostat bypass housing.
Wolverine 2016–2018: one kit for the standard Wolverine and the R-Spec — pick your model at checkout. Six vents with defrost; in-cab heat control is optional.
Viking and Rhino: one kit each, both five-vent heaters with defrost that mount under the center dash.

Every kit ships the same business day from Minnesota with the heater, vents, coolant hose, duct hose, fittings, hardware, specialty tools and picture-rich, step-by-step instructions — nothing to source at the hardware store mid-install.
The photo shows a typical kit laid out; the brackets, bezels and vent count change to suit each machine.
Plan on four to eight hours with hand tools, depending on experience. All the hardware, fittings, hose and specialty tools are in the box, and the instructions walk the install step by step with photos. Call 888-964-0135 if you have a question mid-install — unlimited tech support comes with every kit.

The MaxStat is our inline coolant bypass thermostat. It adds 10 to 15 degrees of cab heat by keeping hot coolant moving through the heater core, and it stops the engine thermostat from cycling open and closed so quickly, so the heat in the cab stays steady instead of rising and falling. It is a checkout option on the Viking, Rhino and 2016–2018 Wolverine kits. The RMAX kits do not use one — they ship with their own thermostat bypass housing.
Yes — every Yamaha kit includes defrost.
No. The heat comes from engine coolant; the fan draws about what a factory blower does.
Only the RMAX4 1000 Compact. Check the rear footwell: tall side walls mean you have the Compact and the kit fits; short side walls mean it will not.

No — you can install the kit without them. But they make the job significantly cleaner and quicker, because you don't have to drain the coolant before cutting into the radiator hoses: clamp the hose off on each side, make the cut, and very little coolant is lost and very little air gets in. They are a $24.99 option at checkout on the kit page.
