Which Honda kit do I need?
Pioneer 1000: split at 2022. The 2022–2025 kit fits every Pioneer 1000, 1000-5 and 1000-6 and includes windshield defrost — pick your seating at checkout. For 2016–2021 machines there are two kits: one for the standard 1000 / 1000-5 and one for the LE.
Pioneer 700: split at 2023. For 2014–2022 there is a standard kit and a separate kit for the 2017–2022 Deluxe. All three have four vents with defrost.
Pioneer 500 / 520: one kit covers 2015–2025. It is a compact three-vent heater.
Talon: one kit for 2019–2025, six vents with defrost. Choose one or two rows of seats at checkout so we pack the right hose length.

Every kit ships the same business day from Minnesota with the heater, vents, coolant hose, duct hose, fittings, hardware, specialty tools and picture-rich, step-by-step instructions — nothing to source at the hardware store mid-install.
The photo shows a typical kit laid out; the brackets, bezels and vent count change to suit each machine.
Installation on a Honda
Plan on four to eight hours with hand tools, depending on experience. All the hardware, fittings, hose and specialty tools are in the box, and the instructions walk the install step by step with photos. Frequently asked questions
What does the MaxStat do, and can I add it to a Honda kit?
The MaxStat is our inline coolant bypass thermostat. It adds 10 to 15 degrees of cab heat by keeping hot coolant moving through the heater core, and it stops the engine thermostat from cycling open and closed so quickly, so the heat in the cab stays steady instead of rising and falling. It is offered as a checkout option on the Pioneer 500 / 520 kit. The 2022+ Pioneer 1000 kit does not need one — it already draws hot coolant from the oil-cooler line. For any other Honda, call us and we will tell you whether it applies.
Does it defrost the windshield?
The Talon, Pioneer 700 and 2022–2025 Pioneer 1000 kits include defrost vents. The 2016–2021 Pioneer 1000 kits and the Pioneer 500 / 520 kit heat the cab but do not have dedicated defrost vents.
Will it drain the battery?
No. Coolant heat; the fan draws about what a factory blower does.
Which Pioneer 1000 kit do I need?
2022–2025 machines, including the 1000-6, use the newer kit. 2016–2021 machines use the Pioneer 1000 / 1000-5 kit, or the LE kit if you have a Limited Edition.
Do I need the hose clamp-off tools?
No — you can install the kit without them. But they make the job significantly cleaner and quicker, because you don't have to drain the coolant before cutting into the radiator hoses: clamp the hose off on each side, make the cut, and very little coolant is lost and very little air gets in. They are a $24.99 option at checkout on the kit page.
