Ice Crusher builds three Kubota-specific heater kits covering the RTV-X900, the RTV 900 and the RTV 500, from 2004 to the current model year. Each kit is designed around that RTV and runs on engine coolant — 14,600 BTU of real heat with no battery drain beyond the fan — and ships complete with hardware, hose, fittings and picture-rich instructions.

RTV-X900: one kit for 2013–2025. It mounts under the center console and feeds five vents. The standard kit includes a low-profile defrost vent; if your RTV has the factory cab, choose the optional 2-inch factory-cab defrost kit at checkout. In-cab heat control is also available as an option.
RTV 900 and RTV 500: compact two-vent heaters that warm the cab; they do not have dedicated defrost vents. The RTV 900 kit mounts under the steering wheel, the RTV 500 kit under the center dash.

Every kit ships the same business day from Minnesota with the heater, vents, coolant hose, duct hose, fittings, hardware, specialty tools and picture-rich, step-by-step instructions — nothing to source at the hardware store mid-install.
The photo shows a typical kit laid out; the brackets, bezels and vent count change to suit each machine.
Plan on four to eight hours with hand tools, depending on experience. All the hardware, fittings, hose and specialty tools are in the box, and the instructions walk the install step by step with photos. Call 888-964-0135 if you have a question mid-install — unlimited tech support comes with every kit.
The RTV-X900 kit does — with a low-profile defrost vent as standard, or the optional 2-inch defrost kit for factory cabs. The RTV 900 and RTV 500 kits heat the cab but do not have dedicated defrost vents.
No. The heat comes from engine coolant; the fan draws about what a factory blower does.
On the RTV-X900, yes — add in-cab heat control at checkout and you can turn the heat up, down or off without opening the hood.
Yes. Heater, vents, hose, fittings, hardware, specialty tools and picture-rich instructions, plus unlimited phone support at 888-964-0135.

No — you can install the kit without them. But they make the job significantly cleaner and quicker, because you don't have to drain the coolant before cutting into the radiator hoses: clamp the hose off on each side, make the cut, and very little coolant is lost and very little air gets in. They are a $24.99 option at checkout on the kit page.
