A heater for the Kubota RTV X900, 2013–2025
This Ice Crusher heater kit is built specifically for the Kubota RTV X900 — not a universal heater adapted to fit. It puts 14,600 BTU of engine-coolant heat through 5 adjustable vents, including dedicated windshield defrost. The heater unit mounts under the center console. Because it runs on engine coolant, it makes real heat without draining your battery; the fan draws about what a factory blower does.

Installation
The heater mounts under the center console. You tap into the engine coolant and route the hose to the heater; the instructions show every step with pictures. Basic hand tools do the job.
Options
Defrost Kit: Pick Standard Defrost Kit or Optional Factory Cab 2" Defrost Kit at checkout so we send the right parts for your machine.
In-cab heat control (+$49.99): A control at the dash that sets how much coolant flows through the heater core. Turn the heat up, down or off for summer without reaching under the hood for the shut-off valve.
Hose clamp tools (+$24.99): A pair of clamp-off pliers that seal hoses up to 2 inches, so the coolant tie-in stays clean. Handy on radiator hoses too.
Questions we hear
Does it defrost the windshield?
Yes, through dedicated defrost vents.
Will it drain my battery?
No. The heat comes from your engine’s coolant, not the battery. The fan draws about what a factory blower does.
Can I turn the heat off for summer?
Yes. The kit includes an under-hood shut-off valve. Add the in-cab heat control and you can turn the heat up, down or off from your seat.
How long does the install take?
Plan on 4–8 hours depending on experience. Experienced do-it-yourselfers land at the low end; first-timers should set aside a full day and follow the picture-rich instructions step by step.
Do I need the hose clamp tools?
You can install without them, but they make the coolant tie-in faster and cleaner. They pinch the hoses shut so coolant doesn’t pour out, and less air gets into the system, which makes bleeding the air out much easier. Sold as a pair; they fit hoses up to 2 inches.
