A heater for the Polaris Ranger Midsize 500, 2017–2025

This Ice Crusher heater kit is built specifically for the Polaris Ranger Midsize 500 — not a universal heater adapted to fit. It puts 14,600 BTU of engine-coolant heat through 6 adjustable vents, including dedicated windshield defrost. The heater unit mounts in the underhood behind radiator. Because it runs on engine coolant, it makes real heat without draining your battery; the fan draws about what a factory blower does.

Installation

The heater mounts underhood behind radiator. You tap into the engine coolant and route the hose to the heater; the instructions show every step with pictures. Basic hand tools do the job.

Questions we hear

Does it defrost the windshield?

Yes, through dedicated defrost vents.

Will it drain my battery?

No. The heat comes from your engine’s coolant, not the battery. The fan draws about what a factory blower does.

How long does the install take?

Plan on 4–8 hours depending on experience. Experienced do-it-yourselfers land at the low end; first-timers should set aside a full day and follow the picture-rich instructions step by step.

Do I need the hose clamp tools?

You can install without them, but they make the coolant tie-in faster and cleaner. They pinch the hoses shut so coolant doesn’t pour out, and less air gets into the system, which makes bleeding the air out much easier. Sold as a pair; they fit hoses up to 2 inches.

Free shipping in the lower 48. Order by noon CT, Monday through Friday, and it ships the same day. Canada: $30–$50 per heater freight depending on province; duties, taxes and brokerage are extra.

Ice Crusher Heaters warrants your UTV Heater System, including its electrical components (motor, switch, wiring and resistor), to be free from defects in material and craftsmanship under normal use and service by the original consumer purchaser (end user) for a period of Three (3) years from the date of purchase. The warranty is null and void if the system has been damaged by accident, improper installation, unreasonable use, lack of proper maintenance, unauthorized repairs or modifications, or causes not arising from defects in materials and craftsmanship. Ice Crusher Heaters obligations under this warranty are limited to repair of the product at our production facility, or the replacement of the product at Ice Crusher Heaters option and at Ice Crusher Heaters expense. Any expense involved in the removal, re-installation, or transportation of the product is not covered by this warranty. Prior to return of any product to Ice Crusher Heaters, the customer must contact Ice Crusher Heaters customer service, 888-964-0135, email at info@icecrusherheaters.com or fill out the online contact form. The order number must be marked on the exterior of the package for easy identification. Any Warranty product received at Ice Crusher Heaters without an order number may be returned at expense of the sender. Postage must be prepaid, and the original dated proof-of-purchase must be included. Ice Crusher Heaters will not be liable for any damages sustained in transport due to improper packaging or handling. The acceptance by Ice Crusher Heaters of any product returned shall not be deemed as an admission that the product is defective or in any violation of any warranty.
