Each Ice Crusher Reverse Brass Y Fitting is designed to be a single-piece design eliminating any chance of leaks and greatly improving overall strength when compared to welded aluminum Y's.  Nerd Explanation:  Unlike welded two-piece aluminum designs, which are prone to pinhole leaks from hydrogen-induced porosity or crater shrinkage voids formed during TIG welding solidification, a single-piece cast construction eliminates weld joints entirely, ensuring superior leak-proof integrity under pressure.

How do I measure my Radiator Hoses

The easiest way to find the right Y Fitting for machine is to use a tape measure or caliper to measure the outside diameter of the radiator inlet/outlet ports or the solid coolant hose lines that run between the radiator and engine.  Worst case, you can pull one of the hoses away from its port and measure.

What direction do I install my Y Fitting?

In almost all cases the Y Fitting should face the radiator.  The best analogy is traffic on a highway (coolant flow), you want the coolant flow to exit and enter like an on/off ramp.  In the case of the Reverse Y think of a clover-leaf design, most installs require some amount of looping coolant hose to help the coolant merge back into the system.  The reverse Y eliminates large loops of hose and performs the merge within the Y fitting.  If you are unsure, give us a call (888-964-0135) and we can help
